Geoinformatics consortium at GBPUAT, Pantnagar is committed to bring new dimensions in the field of geoinformatics to help farmers by provising latest information by the means of Remote Sensing, GIS, web technology and other means of IT. Consortium is working round the clock for providing all information related to farming at on click right at farmer,s door.

Recent Updates

First Indian web-based Interactive Soil Information System (SIS) has been developed by the Scientists of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. It is very easy to use and can also be accessed through mobile with net connection. The SIS has been the perfect blend of most advanced technologies of Remote Sensing, GIS, web technology, webserver and mapserver. It allows user to locate his/her place and to visualize full soil information.
